17 November 2008 - 14:01International Conference on Secondary Education in the Cross Border Area

The United World College of the Adriatic is organizing an  international event dedicated to cooperation in Secondary Education in the cross border area between Italy, Slovenia and Austria.

The Conference, which will take place in the outstanding location of Duino (Trieste, Italy) on the 25th November  2008, will be an opportunity for professional development of teachers across countries, encouraging the pooling of ideas and collaboration across borders for the benefit of institutional representatives, teachers and students and  aiming at a permanent laboratory for integration among secondary education and cultural institutions of the cross border area between Slovenia, Italy and Austria.

Policy makers at institutional level, heads of schools, teacher, student and media representatives from Italy, Austria and Slovenia have been invited to the event.

The Business Plan of the Agency for Cooperation in Secondary Education was among the 10 finalists of the prize “Start Cup” organised by the University of Trieste. Start Cup is a competition among innovative projects of business.

This document was written collaboratively by student representatives from 16 participating countries.
