Teachers’ Residential Workshop in Rijeka (Croatia),
20th - 24th June, 2007

The first PACE teachers’ residential workshop was a resounding success. Having been given responsibility for achieving the workshop goals, teachers from Mostar - BiH, Banja Luka - BiH, Vukovar - Croatia, Padova and Duino - Italy pooled their experience and worked together in plenary and small group sessions to produce exemplar materials designed to be piloted in their own schools. The workshop was supported by collaborators from the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) in Trieste and from the University of Venice, and was overseen by the PACE Education Director. 
The much appreciated, superb accommodation and hospitality were provided by our colleagues from the Forum for Freedom in Education, our Croatian PACE partner.
